STEADROOT

Steadroot

Psychology in context.

People do not function apart from their context.

How someone feels and behaves emerges from a continuous interaction between psychological processes, physical factors and the environment in which they live.

Steadroot therefore looks beyond the complaint that is most visible. In guidance, I examine how patterns developed, which factors keep them in place and why certain reactions continue to repeat.

When that relationship is understood clearly, it becomes clearer where change is possible and which approach genuinely fits the person.

Philosophy

Human behaviour never exists in isolation.

Psychological functioning emerges from an interaction between internal and external factors. Thoughts and emotions matter, but so do attention, behaviour, sleep, physical activity, stress exposure, work demands, relationships, routines and environment.

Steadroot therefore looks beyond the presenting complaint. The objective is to understand which processes are contributing to the problem, which ones maintain it and which factors can realistically be changed.

Brain×Body×Behaviour×Environment

Brain

Attention, cognitive load, memory, emotional responses and the way information is processed.

Body

Sleep, movement, recovery, physical load and the conditions that influence mental energy.

Behaviour

Patterns, coping strategies, avoidance, habits and the choices that become part of daily life.

Environment

Work, relationships, digital demands, routines and the spaces in which people function.

Mechanisms

What becomes visible is not always where the problem begins. Steadroot looks at the processes and patterns underneath symptoms, including the ones that help explain why difficulties remain in place.

The same complaint can mean something very different from one person to another.

Difficulty concentrating can, for example, arise from prolonged stress, insufficient recovery, anxiety or an environment that constantly demands attention. Fatigue can have both psychological and physical causes, and often emerges precisely from the interaction between several factors.

That is why good psychological guidance does not begin with a ready-made explanation. First, I carefully map what is happening for this person, how different factors influence one another and what keeps the symptoms in place. Only from that understanding does it become clear where change can have the greatest effect.

Founder

Steadroot was founded by Dora Zeljkovic, MSc Clinical Neuropsychology.

Her background combines psychology, psychodiagnostics and one-to-one psychological guidance with several years of experience in personal training and coaching. That combination shaped the central idea behind Steadroot: psychological health, behaviour and physical functioning are deeply interconnected and should be understood in context.
